Paper 1: PRINCIPALS LEADERSHIP STYLE AND TEACHERS JOB SATISFACTION DURING COVID-19: A CORRELATIONAL STUDY OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SECONDARY SCHOOLS OF DISTRICT JAMSHORO, SINDH, PAKISTAN(1-8)

Abstract: This quantitative research intends to study, identify and explore different leadership styles of school principals and find out its relationship with teacher’s job satisfaction in their jobs during COVID-19 in public and private Secondary schools in District Jamshoro, Sindh Pakistan. Multifactor leadership questionnaire (MLQ-Short form) and Teacher’s job satisfaction Questionnaire (TJSQ) were used for data collection. Correlation results are built on quantitative survey data from a sample of 149 teachers from 16 secondary schools. The respondents rate their principals as more of transformational leadership (M=3.34) than transactional leadership (M=2.59 )and job satisfaction result (M=3.35) showed neutral satisfaction level during COVID-19 but when correlation test in different styles of leadership among school principals (principals) satisfaction of teachers in their wok was performed it was proved that transformational style of leadership results have a high job satisfaction or positive correlation with teacher’s job satisfaction while transactional style of leadership have low or negative correlation with job satisfaction of teachers. The study suggested that there Transformational style of Leadership in schools by the school principals is a significant contributing factor towards enhancement of overall teacher’s job satisfaction during emergent situations like COVID-19.

Paper 2: PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF THRESHOLD-BASED SCHEDULING SYSTEMS THROUGH DISCRETE TIME SYSTEM (9-14)

Abstract: : Most of the queueing systems are affected by time-dependent changes in system properties, including the response time or the service times. Inbound call volumes and agents’ cyclic communication volumes in computer systems, time delayed air traffic at airports, customer queues in banks, and time-dependent truck arrival rates at seaports are highly congested systems. The purpose of the service provider is to find the lowest-cost admission and capacity allocation strategy so that they may dynamically decide when and who to serve. Threshold based scheduling system have been developed to model this situation. Analytical and simulation both methods are used for accuracy and validity purpose. The proposed system served as a best alternative solution to overcome the congestion problem in time scheduling systems.

Paper 3: PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF DISCRETE-TIME QUEUING SYSTEM THROUGH ARRIVING DECISION METHOD (15-19)

Abstract:: Queueing system plays an imperative role in the field of engineering discipline. It has huge variety of applications that are based on communication system. In communication system switching queue experience a characteristic that is observed sometimes when a message or data is being processed by server. At this scenario the next data which is more important than the other data will be served first. Due to this factor a queue is decompose into two different queues with high priority and low priority queues. Negative customers used for load balancing in the system to avoid traffic load. Using generating function approach we will analysis the system rigorously, and analyze the performance measures for number of customers present in the system will be achieved. The busy period (customer delay) and function for sojourn time of customer will also be obtained.

Paper 4: PHYTOREMEDIATION OF LEAD (Pb) CONTAMINATED SOIL USING AZADIRACHTA INDICA CONOCARPUS ERECTUS AND EUCALYPTUS OBLIQUA (20-25)

Abstract: The pollution of heavy metals in soil is one of the world’s biggest environmental issues which pose serious threats to human health and ecosystem. Many natural and anthropogenic or manmade activities are caused to soil contamination. Lead (Pb) is considered seriously harmful for human life due to its toxicity persistence bioaccumulation and bio magnification through the food chain and high level of accumulation in the soil more than 800,000tons of Pb have been released into the environment over the 50 years, most of which has accumulated in the soil causing consequential heavy metal pollution. The study was designed to examine the potential of three plant species to reclaim the soil contaminated from Lead (Pb). The experiment was conducted at Institute of Environmental Engineering & Management in Mehran university of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro. In the present study Azadirachta Indica Conocarpus Erectus and Eucalyptus obliqua has been used for phytoremediation of lead contaminated soil. Accumulation of heavy metal has been analyzed after 15 30 and 45 days by Atomic absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS).Lead (Pb) accumulated in all parts of the plant i.e. root leave and stem however maximum lead removal from soil was recorded in Eucalyptus obliqua was 77.52% followed by Azadirachta Indica 62.63% and Conocarpus Erectus 57.17%.The study has shown that these plant species can be grown in lead contaminated soil to reclaim the soil from the contamination of Lead(Pb).The result suggests that Eucalyptus obliqua remove maximum lead from soil and it can be good accumulator of Lead from soil.
