Paper 2: EFFICIENT VLAD IN FINE-GRAINED IMAGE CATEGORIZATION (9-14)

Abstract: In this paper, we concentrate the issue of fine-grained images categorization, which is a great deal more helpful in genuine applications than fundamental image classification and we have tried to overcome their problems and to achieve better performance using our proposed technique that is more efficient in terms of memory usage and technical complications as compare to older techniques that having more memory usage and technical complications. For most of datasets Bag of words model and fisher kernel model techniques were used to achieve better performance. In our paper technique used is combination of dense sift and hog descriptors and collectively used with VLAD and finally used by linear SVM classifier that gives better performance and less memory usage and having less technical complications of our taken datasets as compared to previous ones. The two most popular datasets taken are Caltech building dataset and Oxford flowers dataset. For Caltech Building dataset and Oxford flowers dataset we have achieved accuracy up to 87% and 80 % respectively along with best mean accuracy point results through our proposed Efficient VLAD (EVLAD) technique which are better than previous researchers state of art results.

Paper 4: DYNAMIC PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF AC VOLTAGE REGULATOR FEEDING RLC LOAD (21-26)

Abstract: In this research work, the performance of AC voltage regulator feeding series RLC load is analyzed using MATLAB/SIMULINK. Various parameters are calculated and analysis of harmonics at different firing angles is achieved. The total Harmonic distortion (THD) at different firing angles are investigated using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) technique. The SCR based regulator is being controlled by Phase angle control (PAC) method, in which by varying the firing angle the rms output voltage varies inverse proportionally. Such type of controllers is used as AC drives for various AC loads using voltage control method. Semiconductor based power devices provide higher efficiency, less maintenance and capability to withstand large amount of power. Hence, due to their numerous benefits and compact sizes AC voltage regulators finds several applications in industries. The results obtained from the investigation suggest the quality performance and effects to RLC load.

Paper 5: IOT ENABLED ART GALLERY MONITORING SYSTEM (27-32)

Abstract: Museum & Art gallery status of monitoring is very delicate. We should let professional’s handle it because analyses can either make or break a business. We know what desires to be done and we will benefit to fix acute customer and client problems instantly. Art work of the museum and galleries are mostly affected from the relative humidity (RH) and temperature variations. Significant variation in temperature can also cause the double inferior in quality rate of the paper usually with oil paints drawings or water color paintings. Irregular rise in levels of relative humidity (RH) cause the material to shrink swell corrode or deform. Indoor climate of the art gallery monitoring is essential and helpful in fortify the preservation of art gallery collection. Precious paintings are present in Art gallery and their cost in millions of dollars. So we cannot take risk due to avoid these unpredictable climatic conditions caused by fire, painting quality deterioration due to humidity and temperature. Moreover security of the art gallery also demands for continuous surveillance. Hence, to secure and monitor art gallery paintings at Museum and to overawed these climatic conditions, we necessity to develop an intelligent system that uses different sensors.

Paper 6: SHAPE MEMORY ALLOY ACTUATED INCHWORM (33-37

Abstract: Shape memory alloy (SMA) is a type of material that are able to return to its original shape. When subjected to appropriate temperature. The properties of SMA makes it suitable for actuation in robotics. When dealing with small size and weight of it. Especially when small size and weight are desirable. Shape memory alloy has many applications in bio-robotics such as Manta ray robot, Snake robot and fish robot etc. In this paper a SMA actuated inchworm is reported. The components used in the inchworm robot are the compression spring, shape memory alloys, plastic sheet, Crimps, Arduino board and ULN2003A and DC power supply. The designed inchworm robot mechanism has 2 plastic plates attached to glue. These plastic plates have negligible weight and compression spring is used for bias force .To assure better mechanical design of robot SMA actuator and spring are employed. When a signal is given from computer the power is transmitted from DC power supply, and supply SMA wire. Then current causes an increase in temperature of wire, as a result wire contracts and pushes the worm in forward direction.

Paper 10: MATLAB /SIMULINK BASED HARMONICS ANALYSIS & COMPOSITE PASSIVE HARMONIC MITIGATION TECHNIQUE OF THREE PHASE INDUCTION MOTOR (59-64)

Abstract: An electric motor is an important element of the power system. Three-phase induction motor is an industrial load, in almost 70-80% applications of industrial this kind of motor is used. When motor is started by conventional methods, it causes voltage reduction but by using soft starters better response can be achieved as compare to conventional methods, there are few main problems with soft starters such as; they are responsible for harmonics generation. The introduction of electronic devices in the power system cause harmonics and cause malfunctioning of induction motor. In this work six pulse thyristors are used to control speed of motor at different firing angles, these firing angles produces harmonics, more the firing angle, more will be harmonics issues. This paper is aimed to analysis of harmonics at different angles and mitigating harmonics by using composite passive harmonic filter in MATALB/SIMULINK.
